Joel Woodard is an interior designer whose work has appeared in
The New York Times, as well as Traditional Home, House Beautiful, Hamptons Cottages & Gardens,
and House & Garden magazines.
His work has also appeared in the interior design blogs, "Habitually Chic" and "The Peak of Chic".
After graduating with honors from The University of Alabama, Joel moved from Alabama to New York City
to pursue a career as a fashion designer. After stints at Geoffrey Beene and with Arnold Scaasi in his Fifth Avenue couture salon,
Joel designed his own line of eveningwear, selling to such carriage trade retailers as Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue,
Barneys New York, Neiman Marcus and Giorgio Beverly Hills. Joel shuttered his ready-to-wear enterprise after several years
to take a degree in interior design from The New York School of Interior Design.
During his career in interior design, Joel has enjoyed working in some of New York's most important residences and
on some of the region's most prestigious showhouses, with the most recent being
the Kips Bay Designer Showhouse 2009.
